New Inner Stops Enhance Restoration Project

It takes so much work to strip the paint off of inner stops and get them looking good that sometimes it just makes sense to replace them.

It’s difficult to find a router bit to match the profile on the original stops, but an ogee bit comes close.

Typically, the stops measure 1/2″ by 1 5/8″.  Cut your blanks to this size, outfit a router table with a bunch of featherboards, and you’re good to go!
