Window Sash Paint Removal – Before and After

It’s a good idea to prep the sashes for paint prior to reglazing.  That way, no paint chips or sanding dust get lodged in the wet putty.  Actually, It would be best to first remove the old glazing, then prep the wood, and finally add the fresh putty.  (The old paint can protect the wood from burning when removing the old putty.)
